Excellence. I coach because quite simply, there is no greater joy than helping  others. Dedication. I will do whatever it takes to help you achieve your goals.  Expectations. I have high expectations, because I know you will rise to the challenges I set before you. Standards. I have high standards, because I want you to be the best.

I will challenge you, push you, drill you and demand excellence of you.  I will also cheer you on and celebrate your achievements with howls of uproarious laughter and big congratulations.

Coaching CrossFit is not just a job to me. It is a duty I take very seriously. I was fortunate enough to have trained under some very fine coaches, including Level III Coach Eric Leclair of Team CrossFit Academy. He instilled in me a sense of excellence, duty and honor.  I consider it a very high honor when someone puts their trust in me.

Crossfit Level 1 Instructor, CrossFit Survival Intern

  • Married five years to wife Demetria with whom he has 3 children: Avalon, Gavin and Ireland
  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt
  • Muay Thai Student
  • US Army Reserves 2004-2008
  • California National Guard 2008-present

Although I have made fitness a lifelong pursuit, I avoided weightrooms and globo gyms, finding them to be boring and lacking any challenge that appealed to me. When a friend introduced me to Crossfit, I made it a point to pursue getting my Level 1 Certification. I’m now in the process of completing an Internship program under Coach Shannon Franklin.  I hope I can pass the Crossfit model of fitness on to others,  since I have found it to be the most effective means of attaining real functional fitness for all people.

I started Crossfit in 2009. It brought to my life a level of camaraderie and competition that I had no idea existed. I decided to learn more about the program, so I got my Level I Instructor certificate and began interning under the instruction of Coach Franklin.  I credit CrossFit for instilling the meaning of fitness in me and unleashing a passion to teach others. It is a joy to watch clients progress and share in their sense of accomplishing goals they once thought of as unattainable.
